How to setup an iPhone for use with Trioptek Smartermail Email

To setup your Trioptek Smartermail email account on your iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), please do the following: 

  1. Tap "Settings" on the Home screen and choose > "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" and then "Add Account"
  2. Choose your email account type: click "Other"
  3. Click on “Add Mail Account”
  4. Enter your account information:
    • Enter your Name
    • Enter your FULL Email Address
    • Enter your Password
    • Enter a Description for the account
    • Click "Next"
  5. On the "New Account" screen, your Name, Email and Description should be filled out for you on the screen

  6. Scroll down to the "Incoming Mail Server" section and enter the following:
    Host Name:  securemail.trioptek.com
    User Name:  Enter your FULL email address including the domain name (johndoe@test.com for example)
    Password:  Your password should already be entered and will appear as a series of dots

  7. Scroll down to the "Outgoing Mail Server" section and enter the following: 
    Host Name:  securemail.trioptek.com
    User Name:  Enter your FULL email address including the domain name (johndoe@test.com for example)
    Password:  Enter your email password

  8. Click "Next" and please wait while the account is verified
    ***IMPORTANT: You may see a message that says “Verifying” – this can take up to 5 minutes to complete, please be patient

  9. Once you see the screen that shows the "Mail" and "Notes" options switched "On" then CLICK SAVE and you are finished!
